Richard Yarbrough Memorial Honor Student Scholarship
Opportunity Information
Award is given to a student in the SJCC Honors program who will be transferring next year. Student must also be currently employed and working his/her way through college .Preference will be give to a student that provides a reference letter from their current supervisor / employer.
Qualifications
- Applicant must be in the SJCC Honors Program
- Applicant must be currently employed and working their way through college. Preference will be give to a student that provides a reference letter from their current supervisor / employer.
- Applicant must be transferring to a four-year university in the upcoming Fall semester. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student (i.e. enrolled in at least 12 units) during the upcoming Fall semester.
Essay Requirements
- Write a statement explaining your financial need. Please include if you are currently employed and working your way through college. (250 – 500 words)

- By checking this box, you acknowledge that applicants awarded a scholarship will be required to attend an in-person award ceremony hosted on campus at San Jose City College. Attendance at the award ceremony will be mandatory for all scholarship recipients, unless the student has a class scheduled during the time of the ceremony or if the student has an extenuating circumstance. You also acknowledge that you will be required to submit a "Thank-You Letter" to the donor(s) providing the scholarship opportunity.
