Puente Transfer Student Scholarship
Opportunity Information
This scholarship is for students active in the Puente Learning Community that will be transferring to a four-year university during the upcoming Fall semester.
Begun in 1981, the Puente project helps to prepare educationally underrepresented students for college admission and success through its combination of accelerated instruction, intensive academic counseling, and mentoring by members of the community.
Qualifications
- Applicant must be actively involved in the Puente Learning Community.
- Applicant must be transferring to a four-year university during the upcoming Fall semester.
- Applicant must have completed at least 12 units at San Jose City College.
- Applicant’s cumulative GPA must be a 3.00 minimum.

- By checking this box, you acknowledge that applicants awarded a scholarship will be required to attend an in-person award ceremony hosted on campus at San Jose City College. Attendance at the award ceremony will be mandatory for all scholarship recipients, unless the student has a class scheduled during the time of the ceremony or if the student has an extenuating circumstance. You also acknowledge that you will be required to submit a "Thank-You Letter" to the donor(s) providing the scholarship opportunity.
