Opportunity Information
Awarded to a San Jose City College student that is majoring in Music. Priority will be given to a student with piano as their primary instrument of study. Student must be planning to transfer to a four-year university.
Qualifications
- Applicant must be majoring in Music.
- Applicant must be transferring to a four-year university in the upcoming Fall semester.
- Applicant’s cumulative GPA must be a 2.50 minimum.
Essay Requirements
- Write a brief statement addressing specific plans for music study and how you will accomplish these goals.(100 – 300 words)
- Write a brief summary of any musical training and performance experience. (100 – 300 words)

- By checking this box, you acknowledge that applicants awarded a scholarship will be required to attend an in-person award ceremony hosted on campus at San Jose City College. Attendance at the award ceremony will be mandatory for all scholarship recipients, unless the student has a class scheduled during the time of the ceremony or if the student has an extenuating circumstance. You also acknowledge that you will be required to submit a "Thank-You Letter" to the donor(s) providing the scholarship opportunity.
