This scholarship was established in memory of SJECCD employee Vilya Katrina McKee-George. Award will be given to a San Jose City College student that can show evidence of having provided community service.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must currently be enrolled at least as a half-time student (i.e. enrolled in at least 6 units).

Essay Requirement
Provide a statement on community service and it’s impact on your life and the life of others.(250 – 500 words)

  2. By checking this box, you acknowledge that applicants awarded a scholarship will be required to attend an in-person award ceremony hosted on campus at San Jose City College. Attendance at the award ceremony will be mandatory for all scholarship recipients, unless the student has a class scheduled during the time of the ceremony or if the student has an extenuating circumstance. You also acknowledge that you will be required to submit a "Thank-You Letter" to the donor(s) providing the scholarship opportunity.
