Opportunity Information
This scholarship is in memory of Jorge Escobar, an influential higher education administrator who contributed his life’s work to advancing the success of the Latino community. This opportunity is open to all first-generation college students, including undocumented students
Qualifications
- Applicant must have completed at least 9 units at San Jose City College.
- Applicant’s cumulative GPA must be a 2.50 minimum.

- By checking this box, you acknowledge that applicants awarded a scholarship will be required to attend an in-person award ceremony hosted on campus at San Jose City College. Attendance at the award ceremony will be mandatory for all scholarship recipients, unless the student has a class scheduled during the time of the ceremony or if the student has an extenuating circumstance. You also acknowledge that you will be required to submit a "Thank-You Letter" to the donor(s) providing the scholarship opportunity.
