EVC Robert N. Chang Transfer Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in the EVC Robert N. Chang Charitable Foundation Transfer Scholarship. Before applying, please review the eligibility criteria to ensure you meet the criteria, and have all the required information/documents to complete and upload.

Eligibility Criteria (Please note that priority is given to students who meet all listed eligibility criteria. Consideration may be given to students not meeting criteria, given extenuating circumstances):
1. Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Evergreen Valley College and San Jose City College transfer-applicable courses
2. Enrolled Full-Time, with at least 9 units taken at EVC in Spring 2024. If you are not attending full-time, please explain the circumstances for your enrollment status and provide supporting documentation.
3. Junior standing (minimum of 60 transferable units) upon transfer; minimum of 30 transferable units must be completed at EVC upon transfer; must be enrolled at the baccalaureate institution by Fall 2024
4. Demonstrate low-income status by financial aid application (FAFSA or CADAA) and/or written statement
5. Demonstrate that you have overcome significant obstacles in your life and/or educational journey

The required materials include:
1.Essay (2-3 pages college and life experiences, goals, and obstacles/challenges)
2. Proof of low-income with financial need
3. Copy of Spring 2024 class schedule
4. Unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended
5. Two letters of recommendation (at least one from one of your EVC instructors).
